Harness the power of Essential Oils

WELLNESS IN BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT

Welcome to the wonderful world of Essential Oils!

Are you looking for a natural way to support the health and well being of yourself and your family?  It is a basic human need to feel safe.  And I love essential oils because I know I am safe when using them.  They are simple to use, but they have a unique and complex chemistry which makes them effective.  Yep!  It’s pure science!  I used to think it was the attractive scent until I learned the facts!
  • They are amazing plant medicine and they pack a powerful therapeutic punch serving your emotional and physical well-being!
  • They are easy to use and can support a plethora of issues therapeutically including stress, injuries, cuts and bruises, nausea, respiratory conditions, immunity and so much more!
I also love to let their energetics properties shine during my affirmation work, intention setting, EFT and more! Because of the large variety of ways they can be used it is very easy to fall in love with them! I sure did! And YUMMY!  Their scents are luscious!

Essential Oils, Defined

Ok they sound exciting but what exactly are they?  This is from the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy website.  I just love what it says! The term “essential oil” is a contraction of the original “quintessential oil.” This stems from the Aristotelian idea that matter is composed of four elements, namely, fire, air, earth, and water. The fifth element, or quintessence, was then considered to be spirit or life force. Distillation and evaporation were thought to be processes of removing the spirit from the plant and this is also reflected in our language since the term “spirits” is used to describe distilled alcoholic beverages such as brandy, whiskey, and eau de vie. The last of these again shows reference to the concept of removing the life force from the plant. Nowadays, of course, we know that, far from being spirit, essential oils are physical in nature and composed of complex mixtures of chemicals.” NAHA

Why do I love that definition?  Because I truly get a sense of the spirit of the plant and yet you see that it is indeed chemistry.  And the chemistry that helps the plants attract bees, get rid of fungus, transform sunlight to energy also helps humans.

What is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy, also referred to as Essential Oil therapy, can be defined as the art and science of utilizing naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants to balance, harmonize and promote the health of body, mind and spirit.  It seeks to unify physiological, psychological and spiritual processes to enhance an individual’s innate healing process. I got that right from the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy website.  Sound great, right?  I like to say that Aromatherapy is a natural way to support wellness using essential oils!  And it works!

How do I use Essential Oils?

As I have mentioned, Essential Oils are used for a very wide range of emotional and physical wellness applications. The beauty of aromatherapy is the diverse nature of the oils.  There is truly an oil for almost any wellness need.  But how do we use them?  Basically there are three methods of application:

Aromatically
Basically this means, inhaling.  The olfactory system (think “sense of smell”) is linked directly to the brain and the brain part that most directly respond to olfactory stimulus is the limbic system which corresponds to our feelings  and memories and where it stores our memory of how we respond to stimuli and our emotions.  When I smell lilacs, I immediately think of my Grand Mom Rose, who had a HUGE lilac bush in the front of her house! Diffusing oil not only impacts your moods but, the oils also go into the bloodstream and can impact your wellness (remember our chemistry lesson?)  You can diffuse, steam, spray, bathe and more to receive the oils aromatically.

Topically
Essential oils are easily absorbed by the skin and can be safely applied topically.  And they do absorb quite quickly.  Two ways they can be applied topically are diluted and neat (undiluted). What does it mean to dilute?  Massage therapists put essential oils in their massage mediums and many companies put essential oils in their face creams and lotions. You, too, can learn how to dilute oils in carriers such as coconut oil and jojoba oils when you use oils for your health and well being..  And for a “neat” example, if you get a bee sting, you could put a bit of Lavender right on the site! (anti inflammatory and analgesic right?)

Internally
Certain essential oils have a rich culinary history and can also  be used as dietary supplements for targeted wellness. There used to be some controversy around ingesting oils, however research is supporting the protocol.  Anecdotally, there are many testimonies as to the efficacy of internal use.  The key, and I am serious here, is that you must be sure your oils are 100 % pure ESSENTIAL oil.

I am going to say right up front that because there are so many oils and so much info out there it can seem overwhelming!  Learning something new is also exciting!  And that is why I am here for you!  You can attend my classes, schedule an appointment or invite me into your home or workplace to educate our friends, family or staff.

Let’s bring Joy and Love into our discovery of this blessed modality!

Essential Oil Testimonials

I diffuse Lavender often when working with clients. Besides the obvious result of supporting anxiety, I noticed last year, when I began this protocol that I did not get my typical colds! Jean Robinson, Lambertville, NJ
Lavender and Purify (with coconut oil) saved my life after being stung by a swarm of hornets! Daisy the dog, SC
My 14 year old daughter called me in tears yesterday while my son and I were far away touring Bucknell University. She had terrible menstrual cramps that were so bad she was sweating and feeling nauseous. I directed her straight to Clary Calm. Within 10 minutes she was completely relieved of her pain. This oil works miracles in my opinion. I was so grateful! Beth Fitzgerald, Skillman, NJ
After Gaby’s surgery the doctors were worried about her lack of bowel movements so they gave her a harsh laxative which she had a terrible time with. A few days later when we were told we had to give her another laxative I rubbed Digestzen on the parts of her belly that were wire free and on her feet! Later we heard: “Mommy’s poop oils work! Mommy’s poop oils work!” We got a laugh out of it and she didn’t have to take harsh laxatives! Gaby Anderson, Ewing, NJ
I just turned nine!  Sometimes it took me 2 hours to fall asleep. I kept getting out of bed to go see mommy and daddy. Mom bought a diffuser and used Lavender. She put it in the diffuser and on my pillow!!  She also would rub Serenity on my feet. The very first night we used oils...I fell right asleep!! Mom even now sends the oils with me on sleepovers!! Sydney Jaheriss, High Bridge, NJ
My mom and I decided to drive 9 hours down to Tennessee to pick up our new puppy - and then drove the 9 hours back. Even taking turns driving we were both exhausted.  Thankfully, I had the Peppermint beadlets with me. Every now and again we’d pop a beadlet for instant focus and energy! Prevented an auto accident!” Erin Brendel, Belle Mead, NJ
When allergy season comes I take TriEase first thing in the morning! Typically I only need to take 2 a day and it works great! The best part is that I do not get drowsy as when I take over the counter stuff!! All natural! No side effects! Scott Strool, Bridgewater, NJ
I’m Maria!  I have asthma!  I was using medication and an inhaler. Thanks to Breathe I have reduced my medication and rarely use my inhaler.  Breathe was a God send.  I also had great result lowering my blood pressure with Ylang Ylang AND Finally, my dentist was worried about my periodontal health.  I started using the On Guard toothpaste and 3 months later happened to have a dentist appointment! My gums were healthy!  She was surprised and wanted to know what I did! Next thing you know, she started using the oils! I could go on and on….. Thank You, doTERRA. Maria Pazlopez, Belle Mead, NJ
Deep Blue Oil worked immediately on Florette, (my Jersey Girl from the nursing home I wheel over to church on Sundays).  She has many ailments that I am working with her on but I put Deep Blue Oil on her hands because she has pain and numbness from diabetes and within seconds she was like “Wow~! I can’t believe the difference already!” Dana Pavan, Lake Mary, FL
Go on!  Ask me how I can fly to Thailand, then scoot over to Vietnam, Ride an Elephant, Hike the Trails, Eat Crazy Food and have energy to the Moon and Back? Digestzen and LLV. Before I started taking the LLV I would be ready for bed by 6:00 pm. My dear friend Susan suggested LLV.  Her advice is always great so I did it. Seriously, there I was at a meeting and it was 9:00 and people were saying “Stef...you are not nodding out”!  YAY! I now have lots of energy! Thank YOU, LLV!!! And Digestzen. Stefanie Lachenauer, Asbury Park, NJ
